Really Important Social Networking Advice!!! Srsly!!!

As with so many of you, the demise of Pownce has forced me to venture over to some of those other social networks that I don't frequent that much. Doing so has reminded me of the reasons why I tended to avoid such sites, and there are many! But I can offer one key item of advice for all of you, which I will share in a moment... before I do let propose that others offer similar insights based upon their own findings from such forays. (I love alliteration, can you tell?)

Anyway, here is my tidbit of wisdom:

If you receive a request to "friend"/"follow"/"connect"/"send money"/"exchange virtual body fluids"/etc. from a user who's avatar is a fetching young female in a revealing halter/bikini/coconut shell top, you would be advised to wait before accepting that request.

Shocking, I know. Especially since I know that there are many, nay, many many! such young females just dying to be friends with me... but apparently some ne'er-do-wells on the interweb tubes use this to gain "entre" and defeat our defenses. To think! As someone who is rapidly losing any firsthand recollection of the sight of a living breathing nude female boob... (sigh) I can tell you that this has been a real challenge! And yet, I have been strong!

There were a number of such requests waiting for me on Twitter, for example, and I waited before accepting or blocking. Now, several weeks later I have determined that most of these users have been de-Twittered for undisclosed infractions. To think that men such as I could be considered as being less than rational when confronted with a suggestive invite from a scantily clad young woman... well, I just never!

If I have other amazing insights into the workings of the interweb tubes, I will post them here. Please feel free to do the same. Remember, we're all in this together!

Consider yourself warned!

You are most wise indeed. But are you wearing pants?

Heidi, only if you count boxers... it's only -10° F out there! I may go shovel some snow, just for fun!

Mona Lisa, as you must know by now, I am nothing if not discreet.

It's 19F here. Tropical by comparison!

Are your boxers plain, plaid or with pictures of cute little animals? If you're wearing them in the snow I hope they're fleeced lined! When I was in elementary school my friend Carrie's dad always walked around in boxers. Back then most were plain pastel color so he just looked like a goofy fellow standing about in his underwear. These days of course many can pass for proper shorts. I used to have a navy pair with leopards on them that were good for lounging about.

@Mark: I have not seen enouph of you to make that kind of judgement call...however, you write as if you have nothing on...naked

Heidi - Christmas plaid, and quite fetching if I do say so! No fleece lining (or fur!) I may have to break out the flannel ones soon though.

Mona Lisa - That's just an illusion I try to create... drive the ladies wild! Besides, I'm always wearing socks. Always!

White socks...with sandals?

Mona Lisa,
FYI, There was a running joke on Pownce as to whether or not Mark was wearing pants at any given moment. So this question may come up more frequently than might otherwise seem logical.

I say we need pictures!
