In case I'm still in the US at that time, this might be a good chance to do an east-coast-ish trip.

@jademaid, if we'd picked Erie it would have been a short drive for me, but much longer for you. (Though Presque Isle is quite beautiful.)

Glad to see this will work out for people. When Nick and I first started talking about it we came up with this locale because it is central to a lot of the FNPDC crew. (We'll need to get @cwluc on board as well I think he was in those preliminary discussions.) It would be great if there were a place central to everyone but given number of continents involved we settled for the eastern U.S.

I will have to make the trip. PA isn't that far from me and I hear there are some good roads for motorcycling. Might have to take an extra day to explore.

Holy cow! That's like 4 hours from me... thought it being in PA, it might be a day trip... but now I'm highly doubting that.

I think we were pondering late summer early fall. I guess we'll base it on whatever consensus we get from the players involved. I'm wondering if any of the state parks have rental cabins that might work for us. That might be a way to ensure cooking facilities.
